TheWaveVR is a revolutionary new virtual reality platform for music and they just won $ 2.5 million in funding to “transform the way people connect through musicâ€.
TheWaveVR hopes to create a platform where people can “view, host and socialize in live and recorded broadcasts around the world, anytime, anywhereâ€. In other words, artists can create a virtual venue, personalized to their tastes, and they can then “perform live†and share their shows.
TheWaveVR will work with most head-mounted VR displays so that almost anyone with a headset can watch virtual music concerts. According to the company, the platform will allow you to interact with the artists, socialize with other participants, dance, paint, and more.

TheWaveVR debuted with the “World’s First VR Rave†on August 5, held in partnership with SubPac, Skullcandy, PhaseSpace and 3DLive.
