There is a new “Men in Black” VR experience in Westfield Century City and Dreamscape invited me to check it out.

The new experience allows you to virtually disguise yourself as an agent of the popular movie franchise and embark on a fun adventure against aliens for the whole family, ages 10 and up.
I brought my son and we absolutely loved it. The experience is more realistic and immersive than a classic video game and you’ll be talking about it long after it ends.
The start of the VR experience takes you on a subway to the HQ and that was one of my favorite parts. Dreamscape’s virtual trickery makes you feel like you’re on a train. It’s so realistic that there are verbal instructions before boarding not to sit in the seats, which look real in RV but aren’t there. If you tried to sit on it, you would most likely fall to the ground.
Another aspect of the experience that was extremely realistic is when you climb a platform into the air, seemingly thousands of feet high. My slight “concern” for heights was felt, even though I knew I was safe on the ground in a room in the mall. It’s amazing how easily the brain is tricked.
All in all, the Men in Black VR adventure is enjoyable and a treat if you’ve never experienced Dreamscape’s immersive approach to VR – they really do it better.
My son’s only criticism is that he wished it had lasted longer. While the entire experience from costume to costume takes around 35 minutes, the actual VR part is less than 15 minutes. Still, it’s well worth the memories and conversation you’ll get for the $ 23.50 ticket price.
