On the occasion of the centenary of the birth of the father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the iDEA project of the ICT division is organizing the Bangabandhu Innovation Grant (BIG) 2021 to find innovative startups thanks to the participation of local and foreign startups.
National and international level competitors will face renowned business icons who will select the winners for each episode. In total, 26 startups will be selected from 65 startups. Later, they will be joined by 10 startups selected globally and the top 10 startups in the iDEA project portfolio, bringing together a total of 46 national and international startups in the grand finale.
More than 7,000 entrepreneurs, innovators and startups from 57 countries, including Bangladesh, participated in the initial phase of BIG 2021. The 26 best startups selected in this reality show will receive a grant of 10 lakh BDT each and will also be nominated for the final round. In addition, the top 10 startups selected on the international stage of BIG 2021 will also receive a grant totaling 1 BDT crore from the BIG 2021 organizing authority.
The 13-episode reality show airs every Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. on DBC News and also on the official Idea and Bangabandhu Innovation Grant (BIG) 2021 Facebook page.
